Crash Bandicoot 4 on PC requires permanent internet connection to play

This is why piracy is a service problem, not a problem for any indivual game to solve with DRM.

People pirate because they want the ease of access and low cost pirating offers, end stop.

That's why services like game pass and steam, humble bundle, etc, are just driving piracy rates down. Piracy will only keep going down if you make your game easy to access legally.

Some people will always just steal things, but the approach for companies should be to reduce the incentive as much as possible.

I like steam services and extra features so much, i've bought a few games on steam that i already owned elsewhere just to use them. Game pass provides so much value for such little cost, piracy almost isn't worth the effort.
