I cut myself.

Please try not to feel guilty or ashamed for hurting yourself. Most people self-harm but never really open up or seek help, so it's largely unmentioned despite being so common. I'm glad you were able to get some attention right away and not hauled off to the hospital, that's a big and scary step that might not have helped.

If I may reinforce, I think it's wise to seek assistance for living with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. There are plenty of ways to manage and mend, and there is plenty of support if you can find helpful doctors and encouraging staff. You are far from alone on your journey through life and it's rough patches, so please feel welcome to reach out and ask for help. We're all here to support you and cheer you along the way :)

It's good to hear you have a friend you can confide in, are there other people you feel comfortable reaching out to? Please take care of yourself and be patient with recovery. It can be a long and strenuous process, but I believe you can make it!
