I'm writing Kelly Maple right now, a story I haven't touched in a decade (3 months). I'm pretty sure she's actually going to be my train run away at this point. It's a real life friend, but her life is fictionalized. She's actually a very happy person. She's going to hate my story of her being a heroin addict if her dad (no names or physical descriptions changed) was an abusive fuck and beat her and shit. It's so trite but I'm loving it. She's going to whore herself out. I feel like that will piss off my audience. She's also going to team up with a lost girl (younger) who is ALWAYS going to wear hats. She loves hats. There really isn't a rhyme or reason she just loves them. I think better than trying to be profound I will simply never explain why.

I would also like her to meet a boy of some definable character. Kelly will still be a worthless art student... Idk.

I also want to finish Benjaman Witman's introduction. A ruggered hard ass, his wife just died of Typhoid and he heads west to the gold rush. He ends up in the frozen wilderness and goes through a golden portal to a world filled with gold where no one else can go. Riches beyond wildest dreams.

It consumes him.

So he goes into this portal with increasingly more gear but he can't get the gold out. No matter how hard he tries the gold always bursts into flames about 5 minutes out of the portal. But he's not willing to bring anyone to try and swindle them for fear they will find the portal. He spends so much time trying to figure out how to get at this massive stash of earth metals and ends up missing out on women trying to get with him, drinking with friends and having fun, all this shit. He still has to make his keep so he works in the day and sneaks off in the night. His hands get so worn down his fingernails are so thin they bleed and shit. It's really awful dude.
