Diablo 3 or Divinity: Original Sin?

Again, very different games and most people will recommend Diablo because it's what most have played but don't ignore Divinity. One of the best RPG's on the PS4.

I agree with that but it's also because that's what most people know in terms of genre. While action RPGs in the Diablo style are still mostly PC you still had games like the Ultimate Alliance series, Dungeon Hunter etc. on PS2/PS3, not to mention Diablo itself on the PS1. On the contrast something like Divinity comes from a PC developer and the style of game (CRPG) is basically exclusively a PC genre with games like Baldurs Gate, Planscape Torment, Pillars of Eternity etc. which is why I feel like that a lot of people dismiss the game outright because they are simply not used to it on a console.

To me you can't even compare Divinity and Diablos. Are they both isometric and roleplaying games? Sure but here's basically where the similarites end since combat is different, the goals are really different (one is mostly loot driven, while the other emphasis story and the overall gameplay is just not comparable.

I'd actually say to get both or at least give divinity a rent since it's something that basically never makes it onto consoles.
