Donald Tusk, the European Council president, warns to prepare for “worst-case scenarios” as relations with the US rapidly deteriorate - Senior EU officials are anticipating a new American doctrine in which there are “no friends, only enemies”

The thing about Trump is he wanted to shake shit up. He wanted to break from the status quo.

All the shit he's doing to fuck with world trade is because it's been an unfair balance in trade with many countries which gave away a majority of our manufacturing jobs. Those may never come back, but fuck, how did we become so dependant on the other countries? China is beating us economically because of their unbalanced trade. I can't see a future where continuing this type of trade works in our favor.

We have become very dependant on the trade agreements we've made with the world. What Trump is doing could cause a huge economic downturn. We need to be able to purchase the goods to continue doing business. This could deadlock so many companies that rely on these goods. At the very least it would raise the cost of those goods to a point where people can't afford them.

Best case scenario, the world brokers new trade deals that are fair, and tariffs are lifted. Worst case scenario, the world squeezes us, effectively using their power to manipulate public opinion of Trump through our economy so that he is voted out. The latter is the most likely.
