From the desk of mrgirl: The Lex Fridman Fallout

I think I understand your decision a lot better with that last bit.

Feel free to stop reading here because I'm going to rant for no good reason.

This is entirely my impression as someone that have only see you from some of your interactions with destiny, and I admit I'm not your biggest fan, but you seem to have a vision you want to see through in an uncompromising manner, and the vision itself runs against what social media content creation is based on, the blend of the personal and the business, wanting to be friendly with people in a personal way while at the same time being aware of your brand and business when you talk or interact with someone, your brand of raw seems to run against that and puts people who are used to the scene in an odd position of being called out for being political, for playing the game. Some of your fans and even critics wish you would "play the game" yourself because it would mean to see more of you for a longer period of time, while I feel like you want to see through what you want to do and as shitty as it would feel to see it end sooner than later, you would rather see it end than compromise, because compromise would destroy your vision.

I think I'm a pretty empathetic person, I get how from your position and who you want to be it makes perfect sense to handle things the way you did, but what to me feels like an "uncompromising vision" you want to see through, which also seems to be what wouldn't allow you to handle things any differently, and I say this as someone that does and studies art as a full time gig, self expression is something that's on my mind all day every day, I find it hard to empathize with it, I believe the root of why most people find your actions as self destructive, is because they can't relate either, because most would compromise and play the game even if just a bit to keep doing what they want to be doing.

Which makes me wonder who loves what they do more, someone willing to compromise to keep going because it's what they truly want, or someone who won't compromise because they know exactly what they want to do and wouldn't have it any other way, because it would dilute and ultimately destroy what they loved from it in the first place.

I might be reading you all wrong tho, but I did arrive to an interesting thought I need to ponder for some time, thought it was worth sharing.
