Why is getting cosmetic surgery so stigmatized?

I really don't see how I'm being defensive and argumentative. I even emphasized that I'm interested in hearing your perspective, and I'm grateful that you replied. I really am. However, I just don't feel like I'm understood. I'm not trying to deny what you are saying, but I don't agree either. That's why I am trying to inquire and understand.

A) Is this really something I can control?

B)I acknowledge that as a reality. Do I seem like a psycho though? I'm very happy with my life. I just don't have the sex life I want.

C)Like I said, I'm more than open to hearing new perspectives. I do personal development, meditation, and I've studied the six-pillars of self-esteem.

D)Like I said, I value so much else. But looks are my main trigger for sexual desire. I have great friendships with women I'm not attracted to in that way.

E) I am not trying be argumentative to dismiss you. I am only trying to share my point of view. I respect your opinion and I'm trying to come to greater mutual understanding.
