A good path to NASA SWE? Internship or FTE.

+1 to multidisciplinary !

I haven’t worked for NASA but I have interned at another government agency & I was specifically told that I was originally chosen because my resume had a combination of technical classwork/ training (engineering) and creative work (very creative, think the arts mixed with entrepreneurial).

I do not know if that always applies, or if it was because that specific department specializes in multiple fields.

Probably cliche but I say do what interests you and let that shine! Find interests outside of classes.

Also, this was my first ever internship. Grades matter, yes. But my GPA at the time certainly was not near a 4.
