If you honestly think that Donald Trump is the only politician who is a scumbag without morals, then you have had as much of the koolaid as all of his "crazy" supporters. To be a politician you have to sell your fucking soul. There is not a single honest politician in America, and if there is one, then you don't know their name because they are never successful. And yes, this applies to the saintly Bernie Sanders too. People think that because he is an old man who pushes civil rights, he can do no wrong. Somehow Bernie has already entered that god tier level of Reddit idols like Neil deGrasse Tyson. You cannot speak ill of Bernie on this website because his supporters, ie all of Reddit, "are too blinded by their ideology" to accept any other reality. But in reality, Bernie is just like every other politician out there. They all have tons of skeletons in their closets, some more than Trump. The difference is that the "likeable" politicians are really fucking good at diverting attention and not being blatant assholes. But once they get into office, what happens to all those promises they made? Out the fucking window they go. Politicians are loyal to the lobbyists who financed their campaign and care only about re-election, everything else can fuck off. Election after election, politicians from both sides whisper sweet nothings in Americans' ears so that they can fuck us in the ass later, and we all gladly lap that shit up like we've never heard it before, like somehow it'll be different this time. That is why more and more people are starting to support Trump. He isn't going to whisper sweet nothings in our ears, he is going to tell us exactly what he plans to do. He doesn't play this bullshit game where he just tells everyone what they want to hear, he doesn't try to impossibly please everyone. He doesn't flip flop on his message (Mitt Romney). He is consistent and he is honest, and that is such a breath of fresh air for Americans that it doesn't matter that it's coming from Donald Trump. The fact that so many people support Trump of all people shows just how shitty our politicians and our political system is. But to say that people who support something different from our currently ass-backwards political system are dumb, in my opinion, makes you the dumb one.
