Home and Auto Insurance

Brand new vehicles, particularly SUV's tend to do that especially if you went from non-SUV to SUV. The cost to replace them, the fact they have a shorter wheel base, and most come with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive makes them a higher risk to insure. There is a combination of factors at play naturally but the current insurance climate which is a bloody clown-show in Alberta, plus those factors, likely contributed to the rate. Probably won't find much better deals anywhere else.

I'm with TD Insurance, have a perfect record and maximum "rate rating" and my rate still went up about 12% this year. I bet there is a matching 12% increase in profits for the entire insurance industry in Alberta this year. What a coincidence eh!?!?!
