How can I slowly get rid of my prochrastination mechanisms?

I think habit building may be a good tool for you to use. Instead of thinking “I must get this done”, try thinking “I must form this habit to get this done”. Discipline yourself to set aside specific hours every day to work on whatever it is you wanted to accomplish, no exceptions. At first it may be a difficult but once the habit set, you will see that doing whatever you wanted to do comes more naturally.

The biggest hurtle I find when using this particular method is my own laziness, fun-loving and procrastinatory nature. The pride I feel for fighting this nature and making a change even, coupled with the feeling of accomplishment I feel from completing whatever I had done reinforce the behavior.
