How to support someone struggling with acne?

Yeah, I've been trying to explain to her how exercise (going for a walk or a job) can reduce stress and help regulate those hormones. She lives in an area that has nice scenery, by a river and by trees on a bike path that leads towards another suburb. She last ran about 4 months ago (for about a month or two), before she moved to another place and hadn't done anything since. However, I took her out for a jog two days ago and she was actually able to do really well and keep up (~2km). She's still uncomfortable in her own skin, but the run has been able to take her mind off the acne for a short period of time and has started setting goals for her run which have and will really boost her self-confidence in the future.

Her friends that have had acne and videos of people having gone through acne have mainly said that Benzac did nothing but make matters worse. I think it's worth a shot, but it's how she's feeling and I hope she'll start to consider it too. I understand the hormone imbalance also affects her mood and perception of things, so I don't want to be forcing too much onto her. She's a little impatient about how she feels at the moment and doesn't want things to get worse, even if it means that it'd heal and get better in the long run (I guess?). She doesn't want to have to take the pill for the rest of her life and doesn't want to have to deal with the acne once she gets off it.
