How to make #vanlife work financially. (And no, we're not selling bracelets.)

First figure out how much you NEED per annum to keep yourself going. Then give yourself a goal of how much money you think you need plus an extra 25-50% or whatever (50-100% more if you have a frugal dream-based mindset). I also like to account for contingency savings because you never know, right?

Basically once you know this then you can make a plan. Stack 2-3 jobs at a time to set yourself up a 9 month holiday or work 2 months at one place, 3 months at another and so on. It's your life. So long as you hit your target you'll have nothing to worry about.

As for finding jobs, I've had success with tourist towns. Seasonally busy places are crying out for staff during peak periods. Also warehouse/post office/delivery services will take on extra staff over Christmas to meet demand.

Keep yourself presentable and be flexible about the type of work you're prepared to do. Once you know how much you need to make any job becomes bearable, light at the end of the tunnel or something like that.
