"I think I've lived long enough to see competitive Counter-Strike as we know it, kill itself." Summary of Richard Lewis' stream (Long)

the coaching scandal would have never seen the light of day if it was not for michau9_ and that other dude putting in all the hours by themselves. No one paid them btw. None of the big orgs made them do it. they did it and forced ESL, ESIC etc. to act. Does anyone seriously believe anything would have happened without them? When it came out everyone all of a sudden had to say something about it but the truth is, if they had the choice to never make it public or investigate it + ban coaches, nothing would have happened. Integrity, security and people investigating that kind of stuff cost money and everything lowering the profit is bad. Without michau9_ the coaching bug would still be in the game and no one would care. They acted like they would care because they were forced to do so by michau9_. It's all nonsense. If you ban coaches, you have to ban the players too. Because if there was no information given to the players(no one would believe that right?) then there is no reason to ban the coaches in the first place? You need a few scapegoats to pretend that you would care. That's what happened here. And now the statement of CSSPA with the playerrecordings accidently is in line with the streamsniping allegations. What a coincidence! ESIC had no problem to use hundreds of hours of Michau9 +1 when "investigating" the coaching scandal but when they all of a sudden have to investigate on their own, there's not enough money and you can listen to that bullshit excuses. They could have asked for donations to keep the investigations going. Why didn't they do that? Because they got paid and strong armed by the big fish out there?
