Jersey cops let K9 maul a man to death, then try to steal the video.

As a white girl from upper middle class town in Northern NJ I had similar experiences with the cops in my town to be honest. The majority of crime was rich kids doing drugs and most of the towns cops where from town. They even bought quads to chase down kids running from parties. Walking alone at night was really just asking for a cop to harass you. And I remember how much I used to pray I wasn't in the bathroom when the dogs came. Once you had a run in of any kind with them you were on their radar.

A perfect example of being stuck on their radar is when I went to a team sleepover one night. The girl who had the sleep over invited her bf over with some of his friends. He showed up and just a few of the girls went and hung out/drank with them in another room. It was mid season and we had sessions the next day so other than a few of us we stayed away.

It's 1am in the morning and we hear a knock on the basement window. All we could see were the feet, but it kinda looked like a cop uniform. We had no idea what was going on. The house was off the road & the neighbors were not close by. The girl who's house it was went upstairs to check the door after we had told her not to and a cop sure enough was standing there. She was 15 and he let himself in and came down to the basement where we all were without waking her parents. He then lined us all up in a circle and collected our names, phone numbers, addresses none of us had licenses at the time. He questioned us all individually about what we were doing, why we were there, who had been drinking and then allowed the girl to wake her parents.

It was horribly terrifying and then even worse he made us all call our parents at 2am to go home (no carpools). It turned out one of the guys that came over was a frequent speeder and this cop was driving around looking for him to see basically where the party was at tonight. Except it wasn't a party it was the jv field hockey teams sleepover. Also the kids car was off the road hidden in her long private driveway so this cop was really just driving around to every possible house this guy could be at.

Since he entered the house and did pretty much everything else illegally he could not pursue any underage drinking charges as he intended. He did however show up to the varsity practice the next day and hand his list over to our coach. This guy was just the biggest dick on a power trip.

Now I know this isn't the awful violence we have been seeing nonstop and I got off probably a lot easier than most, but I will never forget how much that asshole mindfucked us all just because he could and he literally had no reason to do so. The whole system is fucked and something really needs to change.
