Well. I guess I should clarify my comment some more. If I was in that situation I would rather say “I’m sorry you had to go through this” than “I’m sorry my mom was racist”. The former isn’t exactly an apology as much as it showing compassion, since an apology infers the person apologizing was the one at fault.

Plus after looking at the video again, it is pretty disrespectful for the daughter to try to secure a spot in the hotel even if she wasn’t the one being racist. It shows she doesn’t think it’s a big deal. Im not exactly sure if thinking it’s not a big deal is because she’s been around a racist mom her whole life or if she is racist herself, but I’m gonna rescind my statement about giving her the benefit of the doubt.
