My mom doesn’t really know what boundaries are. She’ll tell complete strangers all about any private matter I try to discuss with her, so I stopped telling her personal details about my life. Now when she calls she cries about how she doesn’t know why I’m distancing myself from my family and says her favorite phrase “what did I ever do to you”. She then goes into complete denial when I try to tell her what she has done to me.

I limit our conversations to once a month at most but even that still stresses me out. I want to cut her out of my life but it would also mean cutting out my father who I do enjoy spending time with. It sucks.
