And yet how long has the leading supplier managed to keep the patent on their insulin? They put out very minor upgrades to the manufacturing process, change one of preservatives, change a chemical that makes it have a more stable slow release(a chemical they sat on for a long time till they needed to release it to keep their patent) and so on. These companies know how to game the system. And people just sit back and let them while they charge $300+ per vial for a drug that costs $2 to $3 to make. So as a result it is possible to keep that same patent going g for decades, and to gouge the living hell out of sick people who's only choice is death or a drug.

Stop defending vile people who don't actually care about the humans they provide drugs too.
