LPT: when your child tells you anything about a friend of opposite sex don't make jokes about them beeing together

Ok, so his dad made annoying and confusing jokes about having a girlfriend as a kid, and we're just cool with saying he had no capacity for true love or being a good guy in other areas?

I mean yeah his dad was a dick for ffs, parents are just as human as anyone else and they do dumb shit sometimes. Everyone has the capacity to learn and grow, but chances are you will die with some of the bad habits you lived with whether you have children or not.

I don't disagree with your emotional support or agree with what the dad was saying. I just find it a bit harsh to jump to the conclusion that making tasteless jokes is equivalent to never knowing love and being incapable of goodness.
