Making a switch from 1440p gsync to 1080p 240Hz... Will my look balls hate me?

I've done it a few times, switch from 1440p to 1080p 240hz. I originally switched to the Alienware 240hz, but hated it. The motion clarity barely looked better than the 165hz/1440p monitor I had, which was weird, considering 240hz seems like a large leap. And that's just the tip of how bad the first gen 240hz were - also suffered from super thick grainy screen coating, really blurry picture quality, mediocre overdrive, etc.

I ended up going back to my 1440p and later came across this article and realized the first gen 240hz weren't even designed to do 240hz, but likely overclocked by companies like Asus and Dell to get there.

What makes this monitor different from other 240Hz monitors is that this uses a 23.8″ panel instead of a 24.5″ panel (of the XG258Q). Reportedly, the panel is optimized for 240 Hz operation unlike the 24.5″ panels. The 24.5″ panels were not originally manufactured with 240 Hz in mind and had to be tuned by monitor manufacturers to 240 Hz operation.

This made me want to try 240hz again, so I recently got the monitor listed in that article and can say, it's 10x better than last gen 240hz. Huge boost in motion clarity, really good overdrive that matches the mature overdrive you see in 144hz panels that have had over a decade to tune and perfect od, super sharp image quality, very light screen coating, and it has 240hz strobing. I'm loving this monitor.
