This man was harrased for having less than $100 of groceries

I agree it seems excessive. There are things about this that don't make sense though. Most stores have security. Those who don't, call the police. Even the ones with security still call the police. Was he confronted in the store? Did anyone accuse him before the cops got there? How much time did it take him to load the bags in the car? It seems like if they just walked out the door like any other shopper, they'd be gone before the cops had time to respond. Did he cause a scene inside when confronted which led to the cops coming? Is this why there were three cops?

There's probably more to the story than what we see but o.p. doesn't want that. Most people don't want truth, they just want more "evidence" that backs up their beliefs.
