Men who were in fraternities in college, has that made a difference in your post-college life?

Can't format properly since I'm on mobile, but here's my answer.

Abso-fucking-lutely it has helped me (personally). I was a shy kid in high school, promising myself to branch out in college and I did so. However I still struggled a bit and couldn't find my footing. Couple of mutual friend of mine invited me to hangout with them and it turned out to be some fraternity guys.

I later got a bid to join and I did so. I expanded my social skills, got some sick connections both on campus and in the real world, and have gained solid leadership and managerial experience by holding 5 different officer positions, including President (not trying to toot my own horn, but just sharing my experiences).

It changed my life, changed who I was, and helped shaped me to be who I want to be. Needless to say I went to a smaller school, not a big state school so my fraternity was a different experience from those at like the University of Florida or something.

Connections with my brothers after college remain strong, I snagged an interview for a job and here's how it went. I pulled up to the office to meet someone for an interview about 45 minutes early and this guy pulls up next to me and sees my license plate has my fraternity letters on it and chats me up about it. He was in the same one at a school about 3 hours away and we shared our stories for a second.

He then asks "I haven't seen you work here before, what's your name?" I tell him my name and I'm here to interview with a guy named Mike. He then says, "Oh nice to meet you, wanna go file your new hire papers? You're hired."

Turns out this guy was the one I was supposed to interview with. We chatted a little bit about the job and that was it.

Sorry for the rant/wall of text. But just thought I'd share.
