Millennials earn 20% less than Boomers did at same stage of life

lol WTF. You know WW2 and the Cold War are over right ?

Thanks to the USA.

That's not true. What those places have in common is high taxes and a healthy mix of free market and government regulation.

High taxes and over regulation don't bring prosperity. Those countries are drafting off of the USA's success. If they USA never existed, those countries would live in poverty.

Yeah but then again, unlike the US, we don't want an invasion army. The US wants projection of power, European countries just want a defense.

I don't want projection of power or defense for them anymore. Either the EU countries pay 10% of their GDP to us, or we're done protecting them.

You know you make profit off of that research right ? It's not some kind of charity, it's business.

Of course there is profit. But what we work hard for, and protect with patent and copyright, other countries eventually receive for free. Our patents only last 20 years. After 20 years, all of the EU receives all of our research, without paying a dime of R&D. That means they get all the benefits, without putting in any of the work.

Yeah right. Dumb first past the post system, private interests buy your presidents with campaign donations, the Republicans pass bills so poor people can't vote, the electoral college,... There's a reason US politics are dominated by a powerful establishment (and no, Trump is not a real outsider, look at his fucking cabinet).

Wooooooooo. Hey, guess what? Trump won. Deal with it.
