Modern Americans think they’re tough and yet 99% of them have never had to deal with real violence.

I am the opposite of that guy actually. I left home at 14 to escape guys like that. Lived on the street in Hollywood until I was 16, caught a break and got a job. Worked 16 hour days, 6 day weeks for over a decade. Got really good at what I do. Started my own company, became successful, started another one. Pay my workers damn well, give them full health, dental, paid vacation, etc. Spend a lot of my time now traveling, giving seminars, speeches, speaking at colleges and on panels for professionals in my industry. I don't think I got where I am because of HARD WORK, I got where I am mostly by dumb luck, I'll admit that. But I'll tell you, I had a damn good time all those years, working my ass off 16 hours a day. I guess I just made up my mind that I was gonna be grateful and not petulant. You can make that choice too. In fact, I often look back on those days fondly and wish I could return to my simpler life. Also, ALPHA is not a term anyone should use. The experts who used to describe wolf packs as having ALPHAS and BETAS and OMEGAS were actually completely wrong. Wolf packs are actually made up of primarily one family, what they thoughgt was the ALPHA male was just the Dad, and so on. There is no structure like ALPHA/BETA in human society either, just doesn't exist. Sorry to bore you with my wolf facts, I like reading about wolves, it's a pastime. I have passions and hobbies... sculpture, running, chess, gardening, my family, etc. These pastimes cost almost nothing and bring me immense joy, you should try getting one or two, it'll help your life have meaning.

You will probably respond with some sort of monosyllabic insult. That's OK. I'm just trying to help.
