My (30M) wife (29F) just told me she doesn't love me anymore and wants to end our relationship, but still live together for financial reasons and for continuity for our 3 young kids. Is this a terrible idea?

How is he getting used for money? She bought the house. She takes care of 3 kids under 6 everyday. He should absolutely be paying for all of the food and utilities in this arrangement. If you seriously see a problem with that, I suggest you don’t get married and have kids.

You have it completely backwards, this guy is getting off super easy in this arrangement as well. His expenses are about to be quadrupled if he leaves. He’ll then have rent, alimony (possibly) , and child support (sorry OP, the likelihood you’ll get 50/50 and zero child support payments is slim to none). Getting a place big enough for 3 kids + child support.. yeah, the guy will be living paycheck to paycheck.

Op, I suggest you have a long talk with your wife about this and figure out what’s best for the both of you. Letting people that have no experience in the matter give you advice is a terrible idea.
