I think my fat friend may be killing her 3rd horse with her obesity :(

I completely understand what you're saying, but it's hard because I wasn't certain and I figured my friend would know better. She loves her horses. Also, she suffers from depression and when she says things like "I'm worried i'm hurting my new horse's growing back with my weight" it is usually said when she's crying and upset so I feel horrible. When she's not upset she'll never admit it. If you hint at it she gets mad and ignores it. We used to be best friends, not anymore. When her last horse was first injured, she said "it must have injured itself playing or another horse did it" I asked, "is that what (the vet) said? She got defensive and said "they don't know" and stopped talking to me for awhile. After her last horse died, she once became very upset and said "it was my fault. I killed him. What if I was too heavy for him? I rode him too hard even after he was hurt." That would have been my point to say something but I just couldnt. She was devastated about her horse dying and I know nothing about horses. Everything I know about it is from her and I asked other people and they said stay out of it, she and the vet know better then you. But vet is a lifelong close friend and so is the barn owner and they all seem to be big people. Her friend/trainer said something and they had a huge fight and she was fired. I don't know if she reported anything. She told me the other day her friend who knows a lot about horses said her other horse might have died of some virus she could of have got a vaccine for. It's all guesses now but she is selective with the opinions on why the horse might have died.
