this example of a "narcissist" is quite amusing. Narcissists are individuals who think they are perfect and that there is little wrong with them, if anything. If the user im currently replying to did actually fit the description of a narc, he/she would not be trying to act like one so desperately but would instead try to hide their arrogance and other awkward personality traits with good manners and anything but arrogance. That's the way true narcissists behave; they put on masks, they dont dance around like this bunky guy. Such traits would only become apparent when the narcissist's ego would be under fire. Those are pretty much the only times when a narcissist's ego becomes apparent. The probability of a narcissist to a)comment as much as this user on an NPD subreddit and b)claim that they are one in said subreddit is actually very low. Also, the likelihood of a narcissist being self-aware is so incredibly rare that it's safe to assume all the people on the internet with huge self-esteem issues are simply just that, people with self-esteem issues such as this guy.

It truly does take an idiot to believe that actual narcissists frequent narcissism forums and act like ones on those forums. The arrogance this user portrays is simply derived from his/her self-esteem issues.

It's all fine, though. I genuinely enjoy these peoples' desperate attempts to appear cool on the internet of all places. After all, reddit is a website filled with idiots. I'm not surprised people like this guy gain traction here. It's a lot safer than actually going to a real psychologist and being proven wrong, because, well, that wouldn't do much for their self-esteems, now would it?
