I do feel different about STATES of the Union because they are and have been US States for hundreds of years unlike Puerto Rico which is again, NOT A STATE.

So to your statement of, do THEY want it now? It doesn’t matter. It matters what benefit they would bring the US to add it to a State. They would bring a horrifically corrupt government, massive debt, a culture that doesn’t want to assimilate and a refusal to speak our language from a bulk of people who don’t want to be American. The only reason they would do this is for money. We do not need more handouts. We just gave billions to other countries in our recent stimulus that screwed over American people but will help with Pakistani gender studies. So do I have empathy, yes, but I also have a brain, and since I have a brain, I can recognize the fact this makes no sense for the US.
