Uh, so try not to ruin their lives? No parent is perfect, we all have our flaws. We all struggle with stress and other negative emotions. But in the end, we must try our best.

I'm sensing some irrational fears here stemming from deep insecurity.

Without children, there would be no people, therefor no society. Good people make a good society. Good children make good people. Good parents make good children. See the relationship here?

There's so many children

Actually, no, there aren't enough children. For example, after the baby boomer generation, the birth rate has gone down dramatically, leaving much less people. When the boomers retire, the much smaller population will be left to pay for all their social welfare etc. which could lead to a financial crisis.

It's lonely, loveless and depressing. Even in well run nursing homes. Staying with loved ones is the right way to do it.
