not sure if god is real or not anymore

In order to survive, be somewhat mentally healthy, and to become more intelligent we need to rely on the association, help, and teachings of other people. You should talk to others who share your faith about these doubts you have.

Okay, I didn't mean that. I meant I didn't assume god existed because my family said so. I did talk to lots of others, pastors, strong christina leaders and had many mentors.

It is not as bad as you are making it sound. To "surrender everything to God" doesn't mean that you abandon all your interests, family/friends, and a good way of life. What it means is that you recognize that God is our means of salvation so we do what we can to show that we want to be loved by God, which means that we live our lives in a Christ like way and abandon BAD ways of living.

I meant exactly what you said. i meant only that.

That is because we have free will, which grants us the ability to accept God's love or to brush it away as unnecessary. Of course we are going to sin, and God understand which is why He came down to offer himself on behalf of our sins.

But dont you see? God commands "Do not sin" (generically)." Then Christianity says he gives you the power to not sin. Then, if you sit there and say "God, I am weak, help me stay out of sin" and then you find out later you sinned anyway, how can you trust that you're not constantly sinning and god isn't helping that?

It's not about choice....the issue is me saying "I only want to please you, give me a pure heart and guide me like a shepard away from sin or a proud heart."....and the god not doing that :/ or at least, that's what it seems

I understand how you feel, and almost everybody has a vice that they struggle with. Trust me, God understands our own mind better than anybody else. If you are genuinely struggling and trying to change then God will understand.

No, it's not a vice It was a few isolated incidents...at least, I hope it was. Butthat's the thing. I can't trust now. i don't know if i'm constantly in sin or not. because no matter how much i pray, it'll never mean i'm safe.

That is not imitating a Christ like example, though. Do you think if you talked to Jesus while he was on Earth that he would have said

the thing is....that's what christianity (or at least most pastors ive' ever heard of) teaches. it teaches that if you decide after believing in christ that he's not real, then it's because you made a moral choice to doubt or sinned.
