On how we communicate.

Number one can be anything.

number one would mean less comments of “haha gators are sea lions ork ork ork look at them suckle from the Milo teat”.

Number two is...what? Are too many people claiming someone is joining gamergate drunk or something?

I won’t say this is happening super often, but there are plenty of times where GG is referred to as angry babies or whiny teenagers when we know plenty of them are actual adults. and there are plenty of times where they’re referred to as good little soldiers following orders.

that diminishes the reality that they’re choosing to act of their own accord.

hell, there was a comment recently that got a lot of upvotes that referred to them as angry white teens that smell like cumstains. there’s no reason for that, it’s needlessly offensive and not even funny.

Number three is a huge foundation of any satire or sarcasm. Get rid of that and no one will be able to say anything.

I don’t see how referring to a group of people as “literally hitler” or “reincarnation of KKK” is a huge foundation of satire and sarcasm. we consistently point out how GG is ridiculous for referring to us as “a bunch of san fran cucks” and “feminazis”. so why shouldn’t we hold ourselves to a higher standard?

it’s not meaning that all comparisons are outright removed, but that you gotta realize when you’re making a comparison that is unjustified and needlessly over-the-top.

it’s not funny, and we need to be funny.

Are we supposed to be talking about GG in a polite way or mocking them?

mock them all you want. but do it with style. that’s all I’m asking. drop the “lol sea lion” memes and instead get inventive and creative in a way that points out the ludicrousness of the situation and ideas rather than the consistently boring “angry white nerds” unfunny crap.

What’s the point of this?

the honest-to-goodness point is that there is a lot of hatred and vitriol that happens in this sub and it charges this place up like a bomb ready to explode. there are times when I won’t even feel comfortable commenting in a thread because the snark levels are dripping with poison.

we need to change that.

yes, this list isn’t perfect, and yes there’s some need for improvement in it, but that’s all going to evolve the more people start reporting comments and encouraging each other to not sink to common internet discourse level insults.
