Partner doesn’t turn in our shared work, forcing me to take a zero on the assignment

These are great experiences, although they totally suck at the time. I went back to school in my late 20s, and had a different attitude- surprisingly focused, and had enough idle time. So what I ended-up doing was being the leader: I said I could write very well, gave each person a portion of the thing to do. All they had to do was answer two questions and send me what they had. I’d do the rest and turn it in. And I just used their input as an outline, essentially did the whole thing myself. Pissed-off a couple guys a little bit, but we all enjoyed the A.

Then during job interviews, when they asked about teamwork, I would give some version of what I just said, and the interviewers were happy with the response.
