This does give slight hope. But we need Winston just as much as Wood. We also need to not pump it long to Wood as a go to strategy when he is by himself.

Burnley use his height and physicality as an advantage because they back Wood up. If we are going to hit it long to Wood we need our wingers and midfield quite high to receive the flick on or lay back to start a counter. But we seem to put everyone behind the ball to defend and just pump it long to wood and expect a miracle. He is isolated with no help. The Solomon island home game and Japan friendly were quite promising but we got exposed quite easily at the back. Especially by loss of possession in our own half and pacey players from opponents strike force.

I don't know if we have enough quality to deal with Peru. We have much better players than in the past but I don't think we have enough yet. If Winston is not calling that defensive lineup we are up shit creek. Durante can't do it.
