Is it possible to have a civil political discussion?

I dont know its hard I was discussing politics with a "friend" and stated I believe health care is a necessity but it is not a "Right" and it certainly should not be mandated and he went ballistic accused me of being a republican would not listen to anything and made up a whole bunch of bs as I laughed at him lol.

Some people are very over dramatic when it comes to politics for whatever reason like football people who break there tvs fight at games etc its really a lack of maturity I feel. I also dont get why some people think being loud makes you right um no it just makes you loud. Also I hate when people try to tell me i need to pick i dont identify as dem or repub because my beliefs cannot be boxed theres just how I feel and what I think the categories are dumb I feel.

The advice i have is politics are something hmm wow i think im speechless on what advice to give as you expererienced the same thing I did when I told my friedn health care is absolutley not a right.

It is a need I feel but not a right because if health care is a right then housing needs to be a right jobs need to be rights etc the REAL reason I feel healthcare is mandatory is because obama was in bed with insurance companies. Now that it is mandatory suddenly all these health insurance companies spiked up their costs and changed their plans? If you dont get healthcare you will be fined what was it 650-750 dollars? wtf. That is not freedom it is not constitutional and it is not what america represents.

My friend didnt want to hear any of it said i was a selfish republican even though im pretty poor lol but im like um ok he started jumping to conclusions being irate and hung up and blocked me on social media. I thought it was juvenile and funny to be honest lol. Now he just says he doesnt want to talk politics with me im just like um you brought it up lol.
