Pregnancy to cost 425% more under Donald Trump's health plan compared to Obamacare

I also think you're missing the point.

I do see what you're saying. I know how premiums work, my mother has worked in insurance companies all her life. But we already let insurance companies have it their way. They fucked that up pretty bad. It used to be that you could just be kicked off of insurance if they saw you as a liability. Which is pretty opposite of what insurance companies are supposed to do.

They didn't need to provide insurance for anyone, and they didn't have to! If you got rid of these mandatory coverage for people with pre existing conditions, why do you think they'd bother with us? Also if you let insurance companies have it their way they'd exclude coverage for things that they didn't want to pay for, like child birth and chemo. Do you really think that giving that much power to corporation is really a good thing? If you let insurance companies have t their way, who would regulate how much they could charge? Again, keep in mind that this is an easy decision for you because you clearly are healthy. Grow the fuck up and stop being so selfish.

Which is why Obamacare was a step in the right direction. By making health insurance mandatory you bring down the premiums for everyone; the sick and the healthy. This is what REGULATED insurance does. And yes Obamacare does have it issues but it's a step.

It's this same stupid all or nothing thinking that you share with congress which is why nothing can ever get done.
