mental illness does exist, conditions that make you act highly irrational exist. denying them is moronic. we do have people who are simply dangerous to allow in general public due to how their brain is wired.

they arent put into solitary, it doesnt happen. restrained? yeah, solitary? no. OP is in solitary right now, but not restrained. you do not protect public from suicidal people, you "protect" suicidal person from themselves. if they were doing that, they would restrain him, not put him in solitary. Its that simple.
