You talk about this supposed resentment as if it doesn't make sense and is totally unjustified. Let me put this into other terms.

Let's say a black man and a white man are both in a store. The store owner talks casually and friendly to the white man, but requires the black man to address him as "massa" and bow down when he speaks to him. The black man is angry and resentful to the store owner for this disparity. Are you going to call the black man "entitled"? Because according to your own logic, you should.

Or, let's say a woman and a man are both at a party. The woman talks about how she's slept with 100 men, at which point she is given dirty looks by the other partygoers for her promiscuity. Then the man talks about how he's also slept with the same number of women, at which point the other partygoers high-five him for "slaying". The woman is upset at this double standard. Are you going to call her "entitled" to other people's respect?

People don't like being held to a higher standard. Go fucking figure.
