A question for Atheists.

My point was, and setting any religious stuff aside, we do not require absolute proof of anything in order to live our lives.

It's, proof enough. Based on our standards and not based on other peoples standards.

Its, close enough. Because the small details don't really matter.

It's, true enough. Because I only need the approximation of truth. Not the actual truth.

Let's have sex, she seemed nice.

Its why we don't read the terms and conditions of contracts. Even on really important items like buying a house, people don't understand the language anyway. Still, we sign.

Absolute accuracy concerning truth would be a pain in the neck. Close enough truth goes hand in hand with verbal shorthand and our desires to get on with living.

On that is my point. Getting on with the business of living supercedes everything else. Our desires to feel good, look good and be thought of as decent people, (and the fears of not having these desire fulfilled) is what drives us. Not proof, or evidence, or anything else.
