Question to parents out there

My parents had a few issues with it

1) it was foreign to them. If they cant wrap their head around it, they dont like it. Tv was normal. Computer games were not normal.

2) same as 1. What was the game? Was it suitable for me? Could I be exposed to anything inappropriate?! Online predators?!?! EVERYONE KNOWS VIDEO GAMES MAKE KIDS VIOLENT!!! .... um no, but try talking sense to my parents when im there chuckling about removing the door to my sims house and letting them starve to death...

3) it removed me completely. Especially if it was an online game. Couldnt just get up whenever, or be interrupted. Tv can be... watched as a family. Or at least still have their kid responsive.

And 4) it just irked my stepdad. I dont know why. He just couldnt STAND me being in a raid for 4hrs and 39 "non real people" in there with me. I could literally be wasting my time any other way and he wouldnt care.

I personally dont give a shit about screen time. My kid benefits immensely from all its amazing uses. Gaming and technology isnt the enemy, teaching kids moderation and self discipline in all aspects of their life should be where the concern is.
