Real cost of Fukushima disaster will reach ¥70 trillion, or triple government’s estimate

Isn't it Always the bloody Americans? Wouldn't ever be (in order of latest test) the:

  • North Korea - 5 tests of 6 devices. Last test: 12 February 2013 but with DPRK there's a significant degree of fantasy role playing going on making their nuclear capability questionable.

  • Pakistan -2 tests of 6 devices in Pakistani provinces. Last test: May 30, 1998

  • India - 3 tests of 6 devices in its NE Border area. Last test: May 13, 1998

  • China - 47 tests of 47 devices in Xinjiang. Last test: July 29, 1996

  • France - 217 tests of 217 devices in Algeria and French Polynesia. Last test: January 27, 1996

  • UK - 88 tests of 88 devices, 21 in Australia, Christmas and Line Islands. Last test: November 26, 1991

  • USSR -727 tests of 981 devices, all in USSR territory. Last test: October 24, 1990

  • USA - 1032 tests of 1132 devices in US territory and South Pacific. Last test: 6 July 1962

One read on nuclear testing by the US is yes they did it first and they were also the first to stop nuclear testing. All other nations conducting tests continued for 3 decades.

The only nation with a better record on nuclear bombs is South Africa who decided their best interest was to have no nuclear devices and dissembled those they possessed. GG SA!

Side Note: Of those possessing nuclear devices: India, Pakistan, Russia, USA and UK have signed and ratified the Partial Test Ban Treaty; China and France have not.
