Oh so fear mongering... got it. Not much new there I’m afraid.

I kinda guessed it was tongue in cheek but it was taken further so thought maybe I was missing something.

Regarding your apology - no need to feel bad. We all stereotype. Regarding my community, I’m not even sure what that is perceived to be by others anymore - I certainly don’t align with any extremist groups and don’t feel the need to defend them.

My community is a normal, fun loving group of young people who like to have fun, party, are tech geeks and book nerds. Looking at my comment history, you’ll see I’m a normal person who is currently trying to lose weight (lol), interested in fashion and trying to be a good parent/child/sibling/member of society.

Best thing you can do is just have a chat with another person even if they’re dressed a bit differently or look different to you.

Sad to say this (and I haven’t told anyone irl yet) but my partner and I were in downtown Sydney on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. I took off my head covering because I felt like it, and for the first time in forever, random people were talking to us, asking for opinions, directions and just general banter. I didn’t realise how much I missed that...
