A reminder that a good socialist must always broaden their horizons.

There are a lot of authors that I read these days, primarily because I've read most of what classical Marxists have written, and a great deal of what contemporary Marxists have written. I've begun to really hack away at a lot of Anarchist theory, as well as Anarchist history and the history of collaboration with Marxists/Socialists (e.g. the IWW). I'll be getting into MLM theory soon as well.

I also read a hell of a lot of other literature, e.g.:

  • The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer
  • The Story of the Streets by Mike Skinner
  • The Centre Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness by Elyn Saks
  • Democracy Matters by Cornel West

Marxism is the theory of capitalism and working class revolution. Socialism in broader terms is as much a celebration of working class insights, ideas, culture and art much as it is a celebration of our history, victories and collective power.
