my hospital solved this issue.

they built the family clinic in the exact same hospital. along with a urgent care!

go to the er with a non emergent condition and they schedule you an appoitment in the family medicine and send you on your way!

same day appointments! they did rename the "urgent care" to a same day clinic, or something.

it just blows my mind how silly we regulate all theses medical places and how they all bill different based on what their name is!

heck my story is i needed to see a doctor about a rash. and i scheduled with an internal medicine doctor instead of a family medicine doctor. I am still kinda embarrassed about my lack of knowledge of hospital services :(

hospitals should hire someone to sit at the front with a sign. " how to effectively use the hospital" a person that confused me could walk to and be like hey i got this rash who do i see? or hey i got this cold who do i see? or hey i am feeling sluggish who do it see?

hospitals have gotten too complex for anyone to expect the average person to know which department to call when trying to get help for a medical problem!
