RNC Reports Another Record Breaking Fundraising Month, DNC Struggles To Catch Up

So in my lifetime, the Republicans have always been seen as the pro-business party. Especially under DJT, they're going to be given their way - whatever opens up their profit margins, pleases their shareholders, etc. They don't really care if that harms the environment or the quality of life for anyone not in their inner circle of wealth.

The Democrats used to be" the party of the people"... but unfortunately, they wanted/thought they needed a cut of the big money, too. It's been my observation that WJC's administration was the party's turning point & was when the Dems also started playing to big business/corporations in order to attract big dollar donors to the party. They left the people behind in their pursuit of the almighty dollar in the sense that making the biggest changes which could benefit the most citizens were abandoned in favor of small "see we're doing something" changes which placate the people while allowing the corporations to increase their power over us all.

Why didn't/don't the Dems see that by actually supporting and following through for the people, they actually have larger voter numbers & could raise as much if not more money (smaller amounts but with larger volume)?

Or by applying this "chase after the rich folks" mentality, are they admitting that our system has become so corrupt that it's no longer about the number of votes because the systems & processes are already compromised (by gerrymandering, hacking, machine manipulation, &/or willful human tampering)?

And do the Dems truly believe they can't compete with the GOP unless they act like the GOP? Or at least act enough like them to get corporate campaign money?

And have been/are DNC operations that severely mismanaged where despite their strategic choices, they're really that close to implosion? Did it ever cross their minds to change their fundraising strategy?

I ask all of this sincerely.
