"Sheriff: Machine guns, 900 rounds found during traffic stop"

You seem to be saying that we cannot.

Not without draconian measures that arguably won't work. And honestly the NRA was behind getting the NICS system. Those records were supposed to be destroyed after a person passed. That turned into we'll get around to it. Several law suits happened. So you need to convince me you aren't trying to just take a step towards registration. Which again wouldn't have stopped this guy anyways. Feinstein (who has said she'd ban them all) is not trying to compromise.

Felon with a gun is supposed to be 10 years in fed prison. That was rarely enforced. The NRA project exile change that a little bit but in other states I'm not sure it is enforced as much.

That's Joe for ya. 75k denials and they prosecuted like 30. Those are 10 year felonies also. But Joe Biden says they don't have time to prosecute them. So we could try enforcing those laws also.

I'd be ok with more training for a national ccw. Those laws a mess and I don't see how crossing over a river leads to me being unfit to carry.

But the left doesn't seem interested in trying to actually make the issues better. They want another knee jerk law and they don't already enforce what's on the books. And at some point you just have to accept even if guns were banned this guy could have rented a Uhaul truck and just ran people over.

I am just asking. I think there are many people who don't understand, for instance why the national gun database can't be digitized (lobbying has prevented it).

Canada had one. It was a failure and we have 10x the guns. You think ours will be better? https://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfisher/2013/01/22/canada-tried-registering-long-guns-and-gave-up/?c=0&s=trending#ef3e7e913657

And every time a registry was created it usually proceeds a ban here. And what will this registry stop? You expect criminals to register? What's the point?

We don't understand why a universal background check remains unachievable (again, lobbying).

The Dems could have passed a more enhanced one. Said it didnt do enough?? http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/284182-senate-rejects-first-background-check-bill

But again 75k people would have been charged in the nics but again. The VP says they don't have time for that. And when Feinstein is saying she wants them all banned you think I'm going to register. Canada couldn't do it and ours will be an even greater failure.
