This is the shit Mormons teach their youth. "Whatever you show me, I'll think I can touch - So if you don't want that, then don't show me much." Teaching young women that THEY are at fault for male lust.

I honestly don't read the post as saying that men bear no responsibility for their actions. Rather, it is a warning that men sometimes get overwhelmed and act without thinking about what is right or kind or prudent, and that there are things that women can do to mitigate the risk that they will fall prey to the actions.

To give an analogy, if Christian harasses an atheist on the street, telling him he's a sinner and destined for hell and is the cause of all the pain and suffering in the world, he might get punched. Most atheists wouldn't, but some would, and if they did, that would be wrong. What the Christian said was in no way legitimate justification for the punching, but he still brought it on himself, taking unnecessary risk. The fact that one party commited a greater wrong does not clear the other party of all responsibility.

Women should be allowed to wear what they want. If men harass or assault women for what they wear, the clothes are in no way a legitimate justification for the action. But if a woman is being intentionally provocative, she bears some responsibility if someone is provoked.

When conflict happens between two people, one person being wrong does not make the other person right. Life is more subtle than that. But maybe I'm alone in reading the message as "Men can be horrible, so you shouldn't provoke them" instead of "If you provoke them, you deserve what you get."
