Was sitting there, waiting for the perfect moment when the train arrives.

You don't have to be rich to travel, just willing to make compromises. I ersonally went on an 8 city, 3 week trip from Boston to Amsterdam, Brussels, Warsaw, Helsinki, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen and Oulu and only spent around $800 total. The job i had worked at i traveled a lot for and used my own credit card which i racked up frequent flier miles with. I then got a one way flight to Amsterdam via WOW airlines for $150. In Amsterdam I stayed at the Amsterdam Hostel Leidseplein for 50€/night for 2 nights, then took a train to Brussels for like 25€. Stayed at the [Brxxl 5 Hostel](www.brxxl5.com/)(nice hostel!) in Brussels for 30€/night, checked out of there slept at the airport and caught an early morning flight to Warsaw on a budget airline so only paid around 20€. Was able to find a hotel in Warsaw in the center of old town at the Castle Inn last minute for 30€/night. Then stayed overnight at Warsaw airport and used 10,000 airmiles to fly to Helsinki where i stayed at the Scandic using points and went to WKND Festival with 4 friends. Then I slept at the airport and caught an early morning flight to Prague with 10,000 airmiles and stayed at the [Hotel Brixen](www.hotelbrixen.cz/en) for like 50€/night for 2 nights but used an Expedia rewards coupon and got it for half the price. Then I took the train from Prague to Berlin for less than 50€. In Berlin I stayed at the Generator Berlin Mitte Hostel for 22,50€/night. Then I had a flight booked with 10,000 airmiles to Oulu, Finland, and in the course of that flight I had a 12 hour layover in Copenhagen, so since I had packed light, just a backpack, I took the bus into the city and explored, visited Mikkeller pub, took the bus back and caught the next part of my flight to Helsinki and on to Oulu where I stayed at a friends house for a couple nights for free. Then I flew back to Boston from Oulu using 30,000 airmile points via American Airlines. Basically I skimped on expensive things like nice hotels and fancy meals and in the place of that I spent money on great beers, drugs and good times. It was an awesome trip and proved you can do it for relatively cheap if your willing to sacrifice in some areas for the sake of saving money. The trip also set a basis for my life because now I moved from Boston to Oulu, Finland. So travel! Get out there!
