Thinking about buying an RV and a truck as an alternative to apartment living, it's cheaper long-term but is it a stupid idea?

Eh... Went to college got AAS and a BS only to graduate and not be able to find a job and go back to being a manual labor. Tried to move up after spending years at the bottom level, putting in overtime, staying late the help out, getting managers recommendations, etc, only to be told I'm never qualified enough for a manager position because of lack of experience or anything salary entry level. They won't give you the experience and require you to have it before you apply. Pretty much give up at this point, almost in my mid 30's being told the last 10 years I never have enough experience. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time (recession), so pretty much fucked as far as money and career. Anyway thats a different topic for a different subreddit.
