TIL Norway's $1tn Sovereign Wealth Fund owns 1.5% of shares worldwide. They use this clout to push gender-equal pay and reasonable executive salaries while blacklisting 'unethical' companies. They are considering adding high carbon emitters to this blacklist too.

Yeah they sold cheap solar panels to try to get countries to go green.

which i see as a positive. then their citizens started demanding clean air so china started to use a bunch of the panels they produced to help locally.

so while yes china does have some power to influence some things now. the things they are influencing are improving my quality of life.

china is getting in the news for being a major producer of the fastest cellphone data infrastructure devices. that too will improve my life if they are able to sustain it.

New york city is useing chinese people watchign technology to track criminals.

if your goign to get mad at china for watching it';s peopel then you need to get mad at your own govenrmetn for choosign to do so also!

I guess i would say the fidget spinners was a terrible thing china influenced us to buy. but that fad had no real value and died out very quickly.

tl:dr; china has yet to make a significant negative impact on my life nor any lives of the peopel around me, once they do we stop buying that product and the negative goes away.
