Trump's lifting of mining ban in 6 western states overturned by judge

Regarding mining in general... Where do people think the rare earths come from? The hippocrates are either just that or they are ignorant.

The battery in your hand right now, the solar panels, the batteries in you "green" Tesla. The copper windings in the motors, the aluminum in the giga casting machin, the lithium, cobalt, manganese, c'mon man.. It all comes from mining. Like , tearing up the top of a beautiful mountain, in bolivia is ok, but tearing apart Utah or Nevada is not ok?

The "green" Teslas, leafs, the solar panels, batteries, turbines.. They require inputs that come from somewhere. And they arent very reusable, dont have a very long life span, are much more toxic to the earth than any fossil fuel. They generally come from a place of extreme poverty, and beautiful landscapes.

Coal yes, dying. Coal mining is clean compared to what we have to do to the land, water for these these so called "green" tech.

All it does is put the pollution somewhere else where environmentalists dont have to look at it. This is the same as dont put that cell tower in my backyard, but please i need cell service. Put it where i cant see it, and ill be a happy hippocrate.

IMO nations using the mined products should have to bear the brunt of the pollution if they are the majority end user, instead of destroying another place. That said, what Biden did might be good for americans and make tree huggers and people who dont understand what i am saying feel all warm and fuzzy but it is terrible for other lands. The stuff has to come from somewhere. Hello people!
